About The Duomo Initiative

It's Time for Retail Trading to Evolve

Our aim is to help more retail traders achieve sustainable, long-term success. This is done through a deeper and more logical understanding of trading and the markets, combined with reliable and professional systems, frameworks, and methods.

About Duomo

We launched The Duomo Initiative in 2015 as a division of PuriCassar AG; a Swiss-based boutique financial services company, formerly in asset management. Duomo was created as a way of sharing the unique discoveries made by the team at PuriCassar AG while working on an algorithmic trading system, as well as the trading approach and systems developed by Nicholas since 2002.

In 2016, we launched our first online training program. Over the next few years, our online following grew rapidly, with hundreds of thousands of traders learning from our free content. This popularity was thanks to our in-depth, evidence-based information, and logical approach to all aspects of trading. The Duomo Initiative was spun off from PuriCassar AG at the end of 2019 to become its own company.

Traders are usually taught to find a strategy, memorise a setup, follow a list of rules, and then blame themselves when the results still feel inconsistent. They're told the problem is discipline, mindset, or execution, when the deeper issue is often that they were never taught how to understand the market properly in the first place.

That is the gap Duomo was created to close.

We teach trading as a real performance skill, not as a collection of patterns to copy. That means learning how to analyse market context, interpret what is happening, forecast possible outcomes, estimate probabilities, build a logical plan, and then use your results to keep improving.

The aim is not to give traders another fixed strategy to follow blindly. It is to help them develop the underlying capability to think, decide, and trade more professionally. Everything inside Duomo, from our free training to the Duomo Trader Development Program, is built around that principle.

This also means Duomo is not for everyone. It is for traders who are willing to think properly, practise seriously, and build skill over time. It is not for people looking for signals, shortcuts, or a quick fix. The work here is structured, deep, and demanding, because trading itself is structured, deep, and demanding. For the right trader, that is the point.

We believe in transparency.

A large part of the trading education industry relies on projection, ambiguity, and selling unrealistic expectations. Duomo is deliberately built differently, so we are open about the commercial reality behind the business.

In trading education, scepticism is reasonable. A lot of people make their money from course sales, affiliate commissions, or other services, while implying their income comes mainly from the markets. So rather than asking you to take our word for it, we're showing the company financials submitted to HMRC. These figures include training sales, YouTube ad revenue, affiliate income, and anything else connected to Duomo. Nothing is excluded.

As you can see, Duomo has not been a high-profit course-selling machine. In some years, the company made very little profit. In 2024, it made a loss. Nicholas has also not taken personal earnings from Duomo during this period.

About Nicholas

I first became obsessed with the markets 25 years ago around 2001/2002, when I randomly picked out a trading game in the bargain bucket of my local shop. Since then, the financial markets have been my passion and I've been on a mission to learn everything I can about them.

I dedicated years to learning all the techniques and strategies I could find, always expecting the next method would be 'the one'… But all I achieved were losses. Like most traders, I was left feeling frustrated and confused by all the conflicting information.

In an attempt to gain clarity, I decided to make it a project to test everything objectively — ditch what didn't work, keep what did. Through this project I was shocked to find that most of what I'd learned was entirely useless. However, thanks to this process, I started to discover some important principles of price movements. As I explored deeper, I started to develop my own approach. This later evolved into the Duomo Method.

By the time I graduated from university and started my career in banking, I was already making more money from my trading on the side than I was from my salary. By 2012, I'd made enough money in the markets to be able to leave my career and start trading full-time. Since then, I've started an investment fund, developed an algorithmic trading system, discovered a new market theory, consulted at global financial institutions, lectured at top universities, and collaborated with some of the industry's very best.

In recent years, I decided to start Duomo to share my knowledge, experience, and passion for the markets. I've now helped thousands of traders around the world develop their trading by learning the Duomo Method, and it's been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life.
