The Duomo Trader Development Program

Trading, taught logically.
For once.

DTDP is the complete, structured path to real trading skill. Based on our proprietary theory of how price actually moves, the most precise analysis method we've found in 20+ years in the markets, and a development process modelled on how complex skills are actually developed. Whether you've been trading for years without the results to show for it, or you're starting seriously for the first time, this is where you learn it properly.

Why so few traders ever get there

You probably already sense what's wrong with how trading is usually taught. It focuses on strategies, setups, and surface-level ideas that are too simple to actually work.

The promise is that if you figure out a strategy, memorise the rules, spot the setups, and stay disciplined, you'll become profitable. But then you do all that and still achieve nothing.

The truth is, strategy isn't a skill. The markets are dynamic, every situation is different, and pre-defined setups and actions are never going to succeed consistently. Strategy should be derived from the situation you're analysing, but that involves capabilities the industry never shows you.

If you've been trading a while, I'm sure you've felt the consequences of this:

  • Results that constantly go from promising to painful.
  • Tweaking and changing your strategy without any lasting improvement.
  • No way of telling whether a profitable month was skill or luck.
  • Not knowing specifically what needs to be fixed or how.
  • Years of hard work and effort, without anything to show for it.

That's exactly how intelligent, hardworking people waste years cycling through different strategy variations, and end up assuming the problem must be them or their psychology.

The problem all starts from the lie everyone is told. You're told that success in trading comes from finding the right strategy. But it doesn't. It comes from developing the right skills.

The job of a trader is to forecast the markets and take logical actions that align with those forecasts.

That means: analysing the markets to understand and interpret the context, anticipating the meaningful potential outcomes and estimating their probabilities, assessing whether the forecast has positive expectancy and, if it does, planning and executing a logical strategy for that context.

The best part is that when this is done correctly, it leads to a continuous improvement loop that allows you to see where you need to get better and how. That's something traders can never do when they only spend their time spotting, plotting, and labelling things on a chart while they wait for a setup to appear.

If you've been through our free training, you've seen the logic behind all this. If you haven't, I'd recommend checking it out before making a decision about DTDP.

This is not about making money. By taking the time to learn the skills, money becomes the by-product of becoming a successful trader.

The markets can be read. Most traders are never taught how.

Most trading education has no underlying theory. Things are taught because they "seem to work" or because they sound convincing, which is exactly how an industry ends up recycling patterns and unfounded assumptions that were only ever validated by lucky examples.

DTDP is built differently. It stands on three connected frameworks we developed ourselves, and you won't find them taught anywhere else.

01 — MARKET THEORY

The Duomo Market Theory

Our proprietary market model and theory of price behaviour

Between 2012 and 2014, I led a team at my asset management company building an algorithmic trading system: traders, researchers, and an experienced physicist who remains one of the most brilliant people I've ever worked with. We weren't hunting for chart patterns. We were working out the underlying dynamics of price movement from first principles. What we discovered became the Duomo Market Theory, and our entire trading approach is built on it.

The discovery was that markets move between two states. In one, behaviour becomes genuinely unpredictable. In the other, price moves in oscillations that follow an underlying logic, showing the same properties across every time scale. Those oscillations create identifiable points where the activity behind a move is likely to change, and that's what makes it possible to forecast shifts in market activity with real precision.

02
02 — ANALYSIS METHOD

The Duomo Method

The practical skill of analysing and forecasting the markets

Our analysis method, derived directly from the theory. You learn to analyse and interpret the market context, to plot the specific points in advance where activity is expected to change, confirmed through criteria designed to establish they're beyond a coincidence, and to turn that reading into a forecast: the meaningful potential outcomes ahead, each with an estimated probability.

The precision is what surprises people. When a situation is read correctly, price can turn on a level plotted days earlier, sometimes without a single pip beyond it. Watch that happen a few times on your own charts and the way you used to analyse the markets starts to feel like a different world.

03 — OPERATING MODEL

The Cohesion Trading Model

The interconnected model of trading and optimal operating system

Trading is one interconnected system. All aspects of your analysis, strategy, risk, psychology, data and optimisation have a direct impact on each other, whether you realise it or not. The CTM is our model of how those connections work. Align with it and you get positive flywheel effects, where an improvement in one area compounds through all the others. Work against it, which is what most traders unknowingly do, and the damage spreads through the system the same way. Most of the common problems traders struggle with can be traced back to a misalignment somewhere in this model.

That's also what makes the CTM so practical. It gives you a map of your entire performance, so when something goes wrong you can trace the actual root cause instead of treating symptoms. And because every part of your process has a defined place and purpose, trading becomes more straightforward: you know exactly what you should be doing at every step.

What you'll actually do as a Duomo trader

Our trading approach naturally creates a positive flywheel effect that makes progress inevitable. Not only will your effort directly lead to improvements, it compounds them. This is what separates development inside DTDP from the hope-and-disappointment cycle most traders experience. You stop guessing what to fix. You can see it.

1 ANALYSE 2 CONTEXT 3 FORECAST 4 STRATEGY 5 COLLECT DATA 6 CALIBRATE Your progress becomes inevitable.
STAGE 01

Analyse

Read what's actually happening on the chart. Not pattern-spotting. Real analysis.

STAGE 02

Context

Connect the dots to interpret the current market narrative. What's really been happening, and what's the context for what's coming next?

STAGE 03

Forecast

Map the meaningful potential outcomes (plural, not singular) and estimate their probabilities.

STAGE 04

Strategy

Devise the right strategic action for this specific situation, then execute it with disciplined risk. There's no template that works in every scenario.

STAGE 05

Collect Data

Track your forecasts and your actions. Build the data set that shows where your edge actually is.

STAGE 06

Calibrate

With enough data, refine the loop. Improve the precision of your probabilities and the quality of your decisions over time. The flywheel.

Each turn of the cycle teaches you something. The data builds over time. The skill compounds.

How the Duomo Method breaks down the markets in a logical way and then leads you to pinpoint an entry that leads to a major move, is just unbelievable.

Inside the program

I've always been disappointed that trading, an industry this size, has an education standard you'd expect from the Wild West. Other complex performance fields treat development seriously: structured curriculums, evidence-based information, deliberate practice, psychology, data, coaching on every component of performance.

So that's what we built. DTDP isn't a course you binge; it's the equivalent of a performance institute for trading, structured like a degree. 20 progressive stages that each unlock at a deliberate pace as you move through, the way a university runs parallel subject streams, so you're building foundations, practising deliberately, and layering skills in the right order. The curriculum has been carefully planned based on evidence-based research into skill development.

It's fully self-study and you'll get lifetime access, so you can work through it around your schedule.

The journey through the program

STAGES 1–9
FOUNDATIONS
STAGES 10–14
INTEGRATION
STAGES 15–20
OPTIMISATION & CAREER
Phase one: foundations
(roughly stages 1-9)

You learn the theory and the core tools deeply: charts, market mechanics, the Duomo Market Theory, significant levels, context, the analysis toolkit. Deliberate practice from early on, because knowing what something is and executing it at a high level are different things. The high-performance work starts here too, including the research-backed sequence that's been shown to cut skill development time dramatically and enable peak performance.

Phase two: integration
(roughly stages 10-14)

The skills come together and you begin strategising in the markets: probabilistic thinking, mapping potential outcomes, trading on context changes, order flow, risk management as a strategy. This is where you build your first complete trading system, customised to you. The goal of this phase is consistency: consistent decisions, consistent reactions, the first signs of consistent results.

Phase three: optimisation and career
(roughly stages 15-20)

Consistency gets turned towards profitability. Troubleshooting your system with data, optimising your performance and wellbeing, advanced concepts, fundamentals and macroeconomics, systems thinking and CIA-based training for better analytical thinking, then preparation for funding, including the strategies I used to pass prop funding challenges myself, and the long-term path from developing trader to professional.

You'll finish with your own system, not a copy of mine

Most of the industry uses the words "system" and "strategy" interchangeably, which tells you how much thought has gone into either. In DTDP the distinction is precise: your system is the fixed sequence of steps you follow every time, so your judgements, decisions and data stay more consistent. Your strategies are the variable responses to each situation within it.

From Stage 12 you'll start forming your system deliberately, built around your strengths, your schedule, your preferences, and the way you want to trade. Because the Duomo Method is logic-based and aligned with real underlying market behaviour, it can be directed into short-term trading, swing trading, longer-term position trading, whatever fits you best.

Your highest performance will never come from imitating somebody else or following their pre-defined strategy. You'll build the thing that fits you, and you'll have the data to keep improving it for the rest of your career.

Our psychology work is second-to-none

Most of what traders call discipline problems are rational responses to an irrational setup: you've been asked to act decisively, with money at risk, using an approach that gives you no evidence it works. Of course you hesitate. Fix the model using CTM, and a remarkable amount of the psychology resolves on its own, which is why so many members describe the program as a relief.

But logic doesn't solve everything, so DTDP goes far deeper into the research than anything else I've seen in this industry. We've gone in-depth into evidence-based studies from neuroscience, psychology, and decision science, including: how your brain processes uncertainty and loss, why emotions, used correctly, have been shown to improve trading performance rather than harm it (the opposite of the "control your emotions" industry cliche), cognitive biases, gambling tendencies, evidence-based self-talk, approaches drawn from clinical psychology, daily practices for a more effective trading brain, and the flow research behind peak performance.

Instead of making psychology a separate course at the end like everyone else does, it's woven through all 20 stages, so issues are dealt with proactively at the right points before they've had years to entrench.

A note on what's not included in DTDP

DTDP is the complete development system, and there's nothing else like it in this industry. Everything you need to succeed is inside the program itself.

What it doesn't include is a community, live sessions, or hands-on support from me. Those are part of the Duomo Accelerator, a separate membership upgrade for DTDP members, and it's currently closed to new members.

I want to be upfront about why. What I care about most is our members achieving great results, and the way I work inside the Accelerator is hands-on enough that it only works with a small group. At the start of 2026 we closed the doors so I could focus properly on the members already in there.

If we open new spaces in the future, they'll be offered to DTDP members in order of when they enrolled, which means earlier members are first in line. But nothing about your development depends on that. DTDP stands entirely on its own, and most members prefer working through it self-paced in any case.

Built and taught by Nicholas Puri

I've spent more than two decades figuring out what actually makes trading work.

Trading is my passion. I started learning in 2002, and by 2012 I'd made enough trading profits on the side to leave my career in private banking and wealth management in London and trade full-time.

That year I co-founded an asset management company, PuriCassar AG, with Dr. Alexander Cassar. Over the following two years, along with a team of traders, researchers, and specialists, we developed what would become the Duomo Market Theory and the Duomo Method.

In 2015, I started The Duomo Initiative to share what we'd discovered with other traders.

Since then I've consulted for top investment banks, hedge funds, fintech companies, and even a politician. I've lectured at top UK universities, and worked with some of the best in the business, including the former Deputy Governor of a European Central Bank and one of the most legendary traders alive.

The Duomo Initiative now has 190,000+ subscribers on YouTube, members in dozens of countries, and has trained nearly 1,000 traders inside DTDP.

"The Duomo approach is not only a trading model, but an entire skill development model."

"The program didn't just help me become a better trader, it allowed me to develop in all aspects of my life"

After graduating with my degree in engineering, I made the mistake of falling into the trap of trading signal services and ended up losing all my life savings. Rather than giving up, I decided to learn to trade for myself.

It was difficult to find the right place to learn, but Duomo was different. It made sense, it was logical, and I could see how and why it worked. Trading became more than a business model. It was a skill, based on reasoning and logic, almost like an engineering project. It felt like a big investment to make at the time, but in hindsight I can tell you it was worth every penny. Some of the things I've learned are priceless and have helped me in many areas of my life, not just trading.

After working hard to gain the skills, I managed to secure several funded trading accounts and make a living from my trading. I even spent some time as a mentor at Duomo helping other traders. My new situation meant I could fulfil my dream of moving to Dubai and setting up my own company, Explore Ice, while trading to generate an income.

"I am now a consistently profitable trader. I deeply appreciate the efforts by Duomo to create a program of this significance"

For me the biggest challenge before joining the program was the overload of content in the industry and not being able to differentiate between what actually worked and what didn't. The overload of useless content and information in the industry made me feel lost. I knew that to figure it all out by myself would take me years if not decades of research with still an uncertain outcome and that was something I couldn't risk. Therefore, I started doing research about joining the right program and Duomo Method stood out right away.

Duomo has provided me not only with the ability of analysing the markets with precision (which is mind-boggling tbh) but also made me a better person in my day to day life. It has shaped the lens through which I see the world. The content that are being taught in the program are all backed by scientific evidence and can also be quite philosophical. That's how I knew that Duomo saved me decades of research and hustle with an almost certain expectable outcome. It has given me clarity and purpose in my life which I couldn't thank them enough for.

The best thing for me was the practicality of the method despite all the theoretical explanations that were strongly backed by scientific and economical evidence. You're given access to almost all of the tools that you can use in the markets and there are a lot of practice activities to help you deeply understand the tools and apply them into the markets to see the mind-blowing precision and accuracy of the method for yourself.

You're probably as confused and lost as I was before joining the program and I'm sure by reading this you already have a 'feeling' that Duomo Initiative stands out among all the other programs out there. And I can assure you that joining the program will be the BEST decision you've made for your trading journey so far. If you're hesitant I would suggest you to watch the YouTube content first to get an idea of what Duomo is all about. And I'm sure by joining the program you'll realize that it is WAY more than what you've expected.

DTDP isn't for everybody. It's for people who are ready to do the work properly.

Who DTDP is for
  • You've been at this for years. Courses, backtesting, strategy after strategy, and disappointing results. The problem was never your intelligence or your effort. It's that both were channelled through a model that doesn't build skill. DTDP rebuilds your foundations properly, and yes, that includes unwiring some things. Members who join us this way consistently say the same thing: I wish I'd started here.

  • You're starting seriously for the first time. You've seen enough of the industry to know you don't want the hype route, and you'd rather learn it right once than learn it wrong first. You're in the strongest position of anyone on this page: no bad habits to undo, and a complete path from absolute foundations to professional-level skill in front of you.

  • You're close, but stuck. Some knowledge, maybe stretches of decent performance, but no way to tell whether your edge is real, no framework for improving deliberately and reaching your potential, and a nagging sense that your approach doesn't hold together logically. What you're missing is the connected system of theory, method and calibration that turns intermittent results into dependable ones.

Who DTDP isn't for
  • People who want signals, spoon-fed setups, pre-defined strategies to follow, or shortcuts to profits.

  • People who aren't committed to putting in the work to develop the right skills deeply.

  • People who are hoping trading will solve an urgent financial problem (because trading is the wrong solution to that problem, and I'd be doing you a disservice pretending otherwise).

  • People who'd rather be told they're on the right track than have their assumptions challenged, because I'm going to challenge plenty of them.

The cost of waiting

The real cost is staying where you are.

Think about what the alternative path actually costs.

If you're already trading without a real edge, you're paying either way. Most struggling traders hand the market more than the price of this program every year, in drawdowns, evaluation fees and losses they can see in hindsight, and receive nothing back for it. No structure, no skill, no data. Tuition paid to the market, with no progress gained. And the deeper cost is the practice itself: repetition doesn't care whether you're rehearsing the right process or the wrong one. It wires in whichever one you feed it. Every month on the wrong model adds to what eventually has to be unwired.

If you're starting fresh, the same logic runs in your favour. Learn it wrong first and you pay twice: once to learn it, once to undo it. Learn it properly from the start and you skip the years most traders lose to the cycle entirely.

Either way, twelve months from now you'll have spent the year doing something with your trading.

In one version of that year, nothing's changed. You've watched more content, taken another course, watched another livestream, blown another account, felt the same frustrations in different ways. You've stayed broadly where you are. Maybe a little worse off in your trading capital, maybe a little more cynical about whether any of this works.

In the other version, you've spent those 12 months going through a structured trader development program and come out the other side as someone who can read markets, forecast outcomes, execute decisions, and improve continuously. Both years pass anyway, with or without you doing anything about it. The question is what you do with them.

Frequently asked questions

I've bought courses before. Why would this be different?+

Your scepticism is rational; this industry has earned it. So don't take this page's word for it. Go and look at the public work: the YouTube channel, the free training, the full write-up of our approach. Follow the logic, and decide whether it makes sense before you pay anyone a penny. That's exactly what it's there for. Then judge DTDP the way you'd judge anything serious: a proprietary market theory developed through algorithmic trading research, a method precise enough to plot turning points in advance, a development structure modelled on how complex skills are actually built, and a calibration process that gives you evidence of your edge instead of asking you to take it on faith. If nothing you've bought before had those, it wasn't this.

If the method works, why teach it?+

Reasonable question. There are two main points: Firstly, it's a virtuous cycle. Teaching serious traders surfaces universal insights we'd never have got alone. The patterns that emerge when hundreds of people work the same model teach us things that twenty more years of solo screen time wouldn't. The members who actually engage with the program make us better at understanding the markets, which means getting better at teaching them, and refining our own trading performance. This cycle has allowed us to accelerate our own discoveries beyond what would have been possible otherwise. Secondly, Nicholas spent 25 years figuring this out and finds sharing the discoveries rewarding. He'd already been making money from his trading long before Duomo existed. The course revenue isn't a source of income; you can see this in our published company financials, which show Duomo isn't a high-profit course-selling operation. Any revenue gets put straight back into the company to improve how we support our members. Contrary to popular belief, teaching other traders to use this approach and develop these skills does not diminish the edge in any way.

I've done the free training. What's actually new in DTDP?+

The free training gives you the worldview and some of the core logic. DTDP is the full build: the complete Market Theory, the entire Method with its confirmation criteria and precision tools, the structured practice that turns understanding into executable skill, your own customised trading system, the full psychology and neuroscience curriculum, and the calibration process for improving with evidence. It's the difference between understanding why the approach makes sense and being able to trade it.

Is this just theory?+

The theory exists to make the practice precise, and the program is heavily practical: chart demonstration modules throughout, deliberate practice activities in the live market, assignments at every stage, and a complete trading system you build as you go. You're on charts early and constantly.

Which markets and timeframes does this work for?+

The theory is scale-invariant, so the method applies across timeframes, from short-term trading through to swing and position trading, and works in any market with decent volume. Our examples are mainly from forex because it's the ideal learning environment (open 24/5, tight spreads, high volume, no directional bias), but members apply the method to indices, commodities, crypto and stocks. The only requirement is that the asset you trade must have a high daily trading volume (so no small-cap stocks). Your system gets built around the markets and time horizons that fit your life.

How much time do I need, and how long does the program take?+

It's self-paced with lifetime access, designed to run alongside a full-time job. That's the reality for most members. Stages open progressively, so at the minimum pacing the full path spans roughly 2-3 months; plenty of members deliberately take longer, and nothing is ever taken away from you. Consistent focused hours each week will move you through properly.

I'm a complete beginner. Is this too advanced?+

No. The program builds from absolute foundations and assumes no prior knowledge. What it demands is seriousness. If you're committed to learning trading properly from the start, you're in the fortunate position of never having to learn it wrong first.

I've been trading for years. Is this too basic?+

Not at all. Most experienced applicants come in fairly confident in what they know but stuck on what they don't, often without being able to identify the root cause of their plateau. DTDP gives you the structured framework to unwire the problematic connections that have been holding you back, and to focus on the things that actually take you to the next level instead of hitting the same glass ceiling for the fifth time. Most experienced members describe a humbling rebuild that turns into the breakthrough.

Do you give out setups or signals?+

No. A signal is someone else's probability judgement, and following it builds nothing. DTDP exists to make you the person who can make that judgement, with evidence, for the rest of your career.

What if I decide it's not for me?+
